Governance Social Responsibility and Employee Relations
On January 5, 2010, CERN announced deals with two health system companies - Tenet Healthcare Corp. (THC) and Universal Health Services Inc. As per the terms of the deal, Cerner will deploy various Millennium solutions at their hospitals. The combined value of the agreement contracts is about $200 million.
On December 18, 2009, Cerner announced it entered into an agreement to acquire IMC Health Care, Inc., a provider of employer sponsored on-site health centers. The acquisition will expand Cerner's employer health initiatives, such as on-site employer health centers, pharmacies, and wellness programs. This acquisition will strengthen Cerner's position as a provider of comprehensive employer health services.
