Recent and Upcoming Events
Major Risks
Highly Competitive Markets: Global transportation and logistics are highly competitive areas, subject to price competition and margin pressure.
Rising Capex: The rising capex due to further expansion of FDX’s global network, acquisitions, and fleet upgrading will temper the short-term performance.
Domestic Express Market: Growth potential is constrained in FDX's largest segment, Domestic Express, due to the increasing reliability of time-definite Ground alternatives. Further, rising fuel surcharges will make the Domestic Express offering less price competitive.
FedEx Ground Operations: FedEx Ground relies on owner-operators to conduct its operations, and the status of these owner-operators as independent contractors, rather than employees, is being challenged.
