At the end of 3Q10, cash and cash equivalents and marketable securities totaled $1.94 billion, equivalent to the previous quarter, but were up from $1.77 billion at the end of the prior-year quarter. Total debt increased marginally to $1.94 billion from $1.91 billion at the end of the previous quarter but has decreased from $1.96 billion at the end of 3Q09.
Hence, there is no net debt, which proves that the company has a strong liquidity position with the capability to pay off its debt out of present cash.
Management is intended to enhance shareholders’ confidence through expectations of buybacks and dividend in FY11.
