| Acquisition of Healthvision
On January 11, 2010, LWSN announced that it completed its acquisition of Healthvision Solutions, Inc., through the acquisition of privately held Quovadx Holdings, Inc., its parent holding company. It is an all-cash transaction of $160.0 million. The acquisition is expected to add $60.0-$70.0 million to revenue and drive $0.06 - $0.07 in EPS accretion in the first year, excluding $16.0-$22.0 million in integration costs. 60.0% of the revenues are expected to be recurring.
One firm thinks that the acquisition of Healthvision will strengthen LWSN’s competitive position in the healthcare vertical as the integration of disparate (“siloed”) health-care applications likely will be accelerated by government mandates.
One firm believes that the acquisition of a healthcare middleware vendor Healthvision represents a strategically positive move, enabling cross sell into Lawson's large healthcare installed base.
