Our FY09 revenue forecast is above the consensus view. We assume the shift to the lower-margin printers will ease in the second half of the year. However, if customers continue to buy the uPrint, we could be forced to cut our FY09 revenue estimate.

Our FY09 EPS of $0.23 is above the consensus estimate, but still far below FY08 EPS of $0.71. We think cost savings could help the company beat the consensus view.

During the first quarter of 2009, the company implemented some cost reduction activities. Management stated that the headcount reductions taken during the quarter will amount to $2.7 million in annualized savings. By the end of the year 2009, Stratasys stated that it is working on initiatives that are expected to reduce the material cost of uPrint 3D printers by 15%.
